National Accounts Executive
Hometown News, a national award winning community newspaper group, covering 5 counties with 15 separate editions, reaching a quarter million households each week is seeking a National Accounts Executive to be based out of our Melbourne Florida office.
Successful candidates will possess 3+ years successful media sales experience and demonstrate past success working with agencies and clients related to national advertising sales. The role also requires creative thinking; excellent customer service and organization skills; and the ability to build strong relationships and exercise excellent follow up
This new role requires strong new business development skills, and a high level of motivation to succeed.
This position will focus on account development by prospecting for new business in an effort to grow advertising revenue on a national level.
Potential candidate will be responsible for contributing to the Hometown News national advertising revenue by managing all advertising sales activities with new prospects, developing agency/client relationships, preparing proposals and closing business.
Requirements:
3+ Years of media sales experience
Develop leads and prospect for new advertising
Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills
Able to write sales proposal for prospective clients
Build mutual benefiting relationships with media agency and client-side decision-makers.
Develop and execute a daily account contact plan
Some travel required
This position offers a generous guarantee with uncapped commission potential, full benefits package including 401k.

INSIDE CLASSIFIED SALES:
Location: Fort Pierce -- Part-time and full-time, handle both line ads and display ads for our classified pages. You should be comfortable makes calls initiating new business as well as handling incoming calls. Telephone sales experience helpful, typing 45 wpm, comfortable with a WindowsXP environment.
