MARTIN COUNTY --
Visalus Sciences and Jensen Beach Hurricanes restaurant are joining forces to supply gifts for every child sheltered in the Jensen Beach Hibiscus Children's Center.
An event will take place Dec. 15 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. It kicks off with a team scavenger hunt in the Hurricane's parking lot. Each team member pays $20 to participate and 100 percent of this tax- deductible entry fee will be used by the team to buy the best toys possible for their assigned Hibiscus child.
A challenge fair will raise more funds to be used for the activity fund, which provides year-round field trips, movies and more. The fair will offer reduced-price services, prizes, raffles and a 50/50 drawing plus fun games to entertain kids and adults.
Hibiscus House has been dedicated to abused children for the last 25 years.
