MARTIN COUNTY --
Riverfront Kayaks/Tri-Athletica Sports, the Treasure Coast's newest kayaking and triathlon adventure store, invites residents to exchange a toy for needy girls and boys on the Treasure Coast for 20 percent discount on any regular-priced merchandise and 10 percent on any kayak or bicycle in the store.
"We want to make sure needy children throughout the Treasure Coast don't face the holidays without a special gift from Santa under their Christmas or holiday tree," said Sebastian LaHara, co-owner.
Toys should be new and do not have to be wrapped.
"Actually, we prefer the toys to be unwrapped so we can make sure the toys get to either a boy or girl in need. We have our own staff of holiday elves just standing by to do the wrapping and help get the toys distributed in time for Christmas and Hanukkah," he said.
While no price limit is placed on the toys, the owners of Riverfront Kayaks/Tri-Athletica Sports hope secret Santas and their elfin helpers select a variety of toys with a variety of values so children of all ages may receive a gift.
"And, even though we are offering the special 10 percent discount for the donation of just one toy, we hope our loyal customers reach deep into their pockets and donate many, many toys. Imagine how you would feel if you were a child again and did not receive a gift. Please, put a smile on the children's faces this year," said Mr. LaHara.
Riverfront Kayaks/Tri-Athletica Sports has returned to its original waterfront location at 417 South Federal Highway in Stuart and acquired additional space to house an expanded stock of kayaks, shoes, bikes and clothing.
Riverfront Kayaks/Tri-Athletica Sports now carries a complete line of kayaks, fishing kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, high- performance cycles and cycling equipment, running gear and running shoes. Bicycle and kayak repairs are available as well.
