Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida is seeking information regarding the identity of a man who was captured on surveillance video and is believed to be connected to several frauds committed at John's Appliance City in South Daytona.
The frauds have been committed when, on several occasions, an unknown person called the business and placed orders and then paid by credit card over the phone. A suspect would then respond to the store to pick up the merchandise. After the transactions were completed and the merchandise was picked up, the store learned the credit cards that were used over the phone to place the orders had been reported stolen. In the most recent incident, the suspects were driving a U-Haul truck when they came to the store to pick up the merchandise.
