Jimmy Smith of Stuart, owner of Jimmy's Barbeque, smoked 40 turkeys and prepared some of the side dishes at the seventh annual Thanksgiving community dinner held on Nov. 15. at the Gertrude Walden Child Care Center. Stuart Community Services, the Boys & Girls Club of Stuart, Christ Fellowship and Treasure Coast Presbyterian churches, as well as other volunteers from the community, pulled together to make this event happen. About 1,700 turkey dinners were served.
