Help a senior this Christmas
Dr. Ronald Frenkel of the Eye Research Foundation and the Council on Aging of Martin County is looking for secret Santas for seniors.
The foundation has decorated a holiday tree with Santa gift tags with the seniors' names and wish lists. Residents are asked to stop by the Eye Research Foundation at 509 Riverside Dr., Suite 302, Stuart, to pick up a tag and make the holidays happier for deserving seniors.
Unwrapped wish-list items or monetary contributions to help purchase them are always appreciated.

Christmas party to raise money for scholarships
The Blues Alliance of the Treasure Coast is hosting a Christmas party on Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 ($5 of the ticket price will go into the scholarship fund). The Sonny Owens Band will perform. A buffet will be provided with a cash bar. The party will be held at B. Merry Gastro Pub, 320 S.E. Denver Ave., Stuart.

Car parade, show taking place Dec. 11
Gweed's Gangsters Classic Car Show is hosting its 15th annual Christmas parade and food drive to benefit the Southeastern Military Academy in Port St. Lucie will take place Dec. 11.
Car entries for the parade should meet at the Martin County Sheriff's Office on Willoughby Road starting at 5 p.m. The parade begins at 6:30 and will head north on U.S. 1. It will end at the Treasure Coast Mall. The car show will be in the mall's parking lot until 8:30. Please bring canned food or a nonperishable food item.
