DeLand's Operation Care 4 R Troops launched its inaugural Warrior Walk at Earl Brown Park on Sunday, Nov. 4. The organization collects books, snacks and other care items to mail to service members in Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan, and other overseas assignments. Two local Hooters Girls, Elizabeth Bidwell, left, and Erika Wardzinski, right, led the walk of about 100. For information, visit care4rtroops.org, or the organization's Facebook page.
