Event at garden planned for Nov. 17
Ralph Oko, treasure finder, will be available from 9 a.m. to noon to evaluate and estimate values of special treasures at Heathcote Botanical Gardens.
Examples of items are signed balls, sports and non-sports cards, paper money and autographs.
There is a two-item limit per person due to time constraints.
Donations collected will benefit Heathcote Botanical Gardens.
Make reservations for animal event
United Humanitarians of St. Lucie/Indian River County will host a low-cost spay/neuter event Nov. 26 at Dr. Dan's Animal Hospital located at 1624 14th Ave. in Vero Beach.
Check-in time will be 8 a.m. The rates will be $40 for cats and $60 for dogs.

Anyone interested in learning more about adoption is encouraged to join the Children's Home Society of Florida, Treasure Coast Division, at the next adoption orientation session.
The next meeting is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29 at the Early Learning Coalition of St. Lucie County office, located at 804 S. 6th St. in Fort Pierce.
