SEBASTIAN - Sebastian Inlet Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 4067 invites the community to honor the armed forces at its Marine Corps birthday party event on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. at the Sebastian Inlet Aerie, located at 9606 Trade Center Drive.
In honor of the Marine Corps' 237 years of excellence, the Eagles will host a pig roast with music and outdoor festivities from 2-6 p.m. Afterward, a buffet dinner and dancing will be held indoors.
Throughout the day, members will be selling $10 raffle tickets to raise money to purchase Christmas gifts for local military families in need.
In 2011, the Sebastian Inlet Eagles raised $4,000 and, with the help of the local Veteran's Administration, selected military families in need of assistance.
First prize for the raffle is a $1,000 gift card to Publix with a $500 gift card for second and $250 cash for third. The drawing will be held at 7 p.m.
The Sebastian Inlet Eagles has maintained a presence in the community since 1983 and currently hosts more than 750 combined aerie and auxiliary members.
