World-renowned hairstylist Jonathan Antin, who has starred in ABC's "Extreme Makeover" and Bravo's "Blow Out" and "Shear Genius," spent two days sharing the hottest trends from the world of styling with Daytona College's cosmetology students.
During his two-day visit, Mr. Antin worked directly with students in the classroom and then guided them as they worked on clients at The Spa at Daytona College. Special VIP chairs featured cancer survivors from Florida Hospital Memorial's Cancer Center in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
The Spa at Daytona College buzzed with excitement all day as Mr. Antin walked the room offering tips from styling techniques to recommendations for clients' hairstyles.
"He taught us so much," said Daytona College Cosmetology student Michael Shirazi. "I learned the importance marketing yourself and getting your name out. He also showed us so many great techniques for improving our cuts and styles which will offer us more ways to make our clients happy."
Mr. Antin travels all over the world educating talent.
"I love educating and inspiring young talent. I travel all over the world and am selective about where I visit. Daytona College has a great concept and program and I wanted to come out and be a part of it," said Mr. Antin. "We did some great stuff in the last couple of days and it's been a lot of fun. The students really are amazing."
A full-service salon and spa, The Spa at Daytona College offers an extensive listing of professional salon services at discounted rates.
