The DeLand-Orange City Alliance Networking Breakfast will be from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Holiday Inn Express, Saxon Blvd., Orange City. Cost is $3 for members and $10 for non-members.

Seminar on business succession planning slated
Small business owners who are uncertain about the future leadership of their enterprises may want to attend the free seminar, Business Succession Planning, conducted by Robin Lennon, CPA, of Dreggors, Rigsby & Teal, P.A.
The event will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov.15, at the DeLand Area Chamber of Commerce (Conference Room), 336 N. Woodland Blvd. DeLand.
It will be free and open to the public.
Business succession planning is the process that helps business owners identify and develop personnel and leadership positions that are essential to continuing a company's future success.

Swoope to talk at luncheon
Gray Swoope, Florida Secretary of Commerce, will speak to the West Volusia Means Business luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Stetson University, Carlton Union Building, 131 E. Minnesota Ave., DeLand.
Tickets are $30. Participants must make a reservation.
