
Steve Ripley, John Carroll High School's athletic director, has been inducted into the Florida USSSA Basketball Hall of Fame for his outstanding service as a director.
"This honor is reserved for people who go above and beyond normal expectations," said Jeff Foss with USSSA Basketball.
"Steve has dedicated 11 years of service and countless hours to the steering committee."
The steering committee's key role is to develop rules and regulations for youth basketball in the state.
"With the help of his service, USSSA has grown to be the largest basketball organization in the state of Florida. We have done this by working with quality people and organizations to run events of the same quality," said Mr. Foss.
As a tournament director, Mr. Ripley has run youth events for more than 15 years, with the highest of standards. It is because of this service and his continuous support that Florida USSSA Basketball welcomes him to its Hall of Fame.
John Carroll High School is proud have Mr. Ripley as its athletic director and for the service he dedicates to all areas of athletics.
