HOBE SOUND -
Guests attending the Good Ship Algozzini casino night at the Hobe Sound Golf Club will enjoy the sounds of The Knights of Steel, The Pine School's steel drum ensemble.
These students come together twice a week as a group to learn the technique of playing Caribbean music. Their repertoire consists of reggae, soca, Latin and Calypso styles. The instrumentation is made up of various steel pans, guitars, ukuleles and drums.
The students are led by Marcus D. Rabb, director of fine arts at The Pine School. Mr. Rabb has been at TPS for seven years. He is a professional jazz trumpet player and prior to moving to Florida, was a performer and teacher in Washington, D.C., Baltimore and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Once the casino games open at 7:30 p.m., the gaming starts and live entertainment by DancenSound DJ will set the tropical mood. Guests can dance the night away while enjoying food and tropical cocktails. Casino winners will win big prizes such as electronics, spa packages, golf outings and designer jewelry.
