COCOA - Two candidates will vie to fill Seat 2 on the Cocoa City Council in the upcoming election.
Edward Lanni and Brenda Warner, both Cocoa residents, will appear on the Nov. 6 ballot.

I will continue to work toward economic opportunities for Cocoa that create and sustain job opportunities for all residents.
As a community volunteer, I understand the value of having a sense of community and will continue to promote volunteer opportunities for residents of all ages.
I am a dedicated advocate for the city of Cocoa; I have faithfully attended council and committee meetings for more than 20 years. I am experienced leadership for the city of Cocoa."

My experience within the private sector gives me a unique advantage in negotiation, critical problem solving and diplomacy. My experience as a civic volunteer has given me a critical understanding of the changing economic environment in Cocoa and the rest of Brevard County, and the skills to help guide community and economic development for positive change. As a former Cocoa City Council member, I worked closely with other state and local agencies, vendors, employee unions and developers to protect Cocoa's economic future. I'm looking forward to returning to the council to continue working toward that goal again."
Voters may head to the polls in the General Election on Nov. 6.
