It's 'Rocky Horror' time again
Surfside Playhouse ushers in the Halloween season with the notorious rock 'n' roll musical tribute to 1950s sci-fi/horror B-movies, the "Rocky Horror Picture Show," back for its 11th straight year, directed by Nick Henn.
Your enjoyment of this delightfully skewed movie will be amplified by a shadow cast of highly trained, costumed hecklers guaranteed to thrill you, chill you and fulfill you.
Performance nights are Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26 and 27, at 11:59 p.m.

Table Top Arts & Craft Show
The Stonefire Art Studio and Gallery is hosting its monthly Table Top Arts & Craft Show Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stonefire Art Studio, 2500 S. Washington Ave, Titusville.
The fee per table is $15, plus tax. All art work must be original.
The art show is a venue for local artists to show and sell their wares, and the proceeds of the fee will pay for art classes for underprivileged children.

Local artist featured in solo exhibition
In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, Island Images' Gallery of Hope presents "In Search of the Real Cuba," a compelling exhibition featuring modern-day Cuba by photographic artist and author Dawn Currie, resident of Indian Harbour Beach.
The exhibit will run through Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Gallery of Hope, 2036 14th Avenue in the historic Theatre Plaza in downtown Vero Beach.
Come see images that stir the mind and hear stories that touch the soul. These are the fruits of a physically and mentally challenging two-week trek by the author and artist that spans the island from east to west.
The artist, Dawn Currie, exhibits extensively across the United States and has won multiple awards.

'Channel Cats' Drag Racing in the 1950s
The stage production of "'Channel Cats,' Drag Racing at Tico Airport in the '50s," is compiled by Roz Foster, from a journal written by Darrell Hardister.
It is about a group of teenagers, who made a difference in the community by forming a drag racing club in the 1950s, called The "Channel Cats" to promote safe driving.
They were sanctioned by Nascar and drag raced on the strip at Tico Airport in the 1950s.
It's all about the "love affair with their cars" that involved community participation and support.
It will include 1950s' music, vintage photos of racing cars and club members, as well as vintage film of the races.
"Channel Cats" members will participate on stage, including Darrell Hardister, Blackie Raulerson, Mike Ramer and Carl Jones.
Copies of the revised journal will be available for $20 at the theater with members of the "Channel Cats" present to sign them during intermission.
Proceeds will benefit the North Brevard Heritage Foundation and the Emma Parrish Theater.
The play is scheduled, so people coming into town for "Cracker Weekend" may attend.
The play will be at Emma Parrish Theater, Titusville, Saturday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m., and tickets will cost $15.

'Under the Harvest Moon' fundraiser at Rockledge Gardens
The Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse will host a "Under the Harvest Moon" fundraiser, Sunday Oct. 28, at 5:30 p.m., at Rockledge Gardens, U.S. Highway 1, Rockledge.
The second fundraiser of its kind, held by the Cocoa Village Playhouse at Rockledge Gardens, the event will include gourmet food from Carrabba's Italian Grill of Merritt Island, with live entertainment by the Cocoa Village Playhouse performers.
Sponsorships are available at $300, $500 and $1,000, with individual tickets starting at $75 and additional discounts for Aladdin Society members.
Proceeds from the event will support the renovation of the playhouse, as well as the The Cocoa Village Playhouse STARS Youth Program.

Photo competition and exhibition at the King Center
"All That Art" is a juried photo art competition and exhibition, held at the King Center, and sponsored by The Creative Arts Foundation of Brevard.
Take-in in for photos is Monday, Oct 29 at the King Center Rotunda from 8:30-10 a.m; 62 photos will be selected.
On Monday, Nov. 5, juried photos will be hung for a one-month display in the Harris Gallery in the King Center and at 4 p.m. (same day), a gala with presentation of awards and prizes from $500, $250, $200 and 10 $50 honorable mentions.
You may submit as many as five photos.
The fees are: first photo is $25, and $10 for each addition photo.

Indian River Potters Guild registration open
If you are inclined to make some presents for the holidays or just find a place to get away from it all, Indian River Potters' Guild is offering classes in mosaic art and fused glass, while continuing classes in sculpture, hand-building and wheel-thrown pottery.
