A letter of thanks
The Whispering Sound Women's Club of Palm City would like to offer a hearty thank you to Jean Rappaport for the recent fascinating and most informative program she gave to our group at our 100th birthday party for Palm City.
Ms. Rappaport is a retired librarian and has lived in Palm City since 1995. She, along with the now- deceased Marge Harrison, put together the scrapbooks and many volumes of the history of Palm City from 1912 to 1997 which can be found at the Cummings Library.
As a token of our appreciation, Ms. Rappaport was awarded the 2012 Stuart Kiwanis commemorative ornament depicting the original Palm City post office. In the pamphlet that is included with the ornament, she and others are credited with the information found there.
Thanks again for a wonderful presentation. We all loved it and learned a lot of very interesting things about our 100-year-old city.
