Girl's event taking place at the park
Girls night out will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 at Indian Riverside Park in Jensen Beach.
The event will include vendors and a free raffle. Tickets cost $15 and include entrance to the event, shopping and chocolate-themed appetizers.
United for Families is the nonprofit organization that will benefit from this year's event.

Pet drive taking place on Oct. 27 in Rocky Point
A "Howl-O-Ween" pet food drive in the Rocky Point neighborhood will benefit Domino's House and Nala's New Life Rescue, in Palm City.
Donations can be delivered to the Port Salerno Civic Center parking lot any time between 9 a.m. and 1p.m
Those who cannot make it to the civic center but would like to make a donation can call (772) 286-4200.
Veterans can vie for new van
A deserving veteran can win a new van through Victory Military Museum's "Wheels to Warrior" competition.
The winner will be notified in advance and the car will be awarded at the Stuart Air Show on Nov. 10.
Applications may be made by submitting a letter of need, along with the requested criteria to crowncargiveaway@gmail.com.
Applications may also be submitted by mail to the Road to Victory Military Museum, 319 Stypman, Stuart, FL 34994. The deadline for entry is Oct. 31.
