INDIAN RIVER COUNTY - Thanks to a grant from the John's Island Foundation, SunUp ARC is able to make some much- needed renovations to one of its group homes.
SunUp ARC operates four group homes, providing services for 19 developmentally disabled persons in Indian River County.
Daily life in one of SunUp ARC's group homes is the same as at any family home. The individuals participate in planning meals, doing chores and scheduling outside activities together just as families do, based on their abilities and interests.
SunUp ARC is a nonprofit agency dedicated to meeting the needs of people with developmental disabilities in Indian River County.
SunUp ARC has chartered Special Scouts Troup 550, the peer group and advocacy committee, is partnered with Special Olympics and Special Equestrians, collaborates with Dogs for Life and Treasure Coast Community Health and is a United Way partner agency.
