INDIAN RIVER COUNTY - Workforce Solutions recognized 12 companies as "Best Place to Work" as part of its the 10th annual Indian River County competition.
Winners in the under-25 employees category are: Brite Future Electric, Kmetz, Nuttall, Elwell, Graham, CPAs, Legler Orthodontics and Spectrum Interior Design.
Winners in the 25-150 employees category are: Florida Eye Institute, Girard Equipment, Riverside Theatre and Treasure Coast Community Health.
Winners in the more than 150 employees category are: CVS Distribution Center, Communications International, Seacoast National Bank and VNA of the Treasure Coast
Workforce Solutions commissioned Personnel Dynamics Consulting of Fort Pierce, to calculate turnover rates, growth percentages, employee development spending, promotion percentages, insurance packages and retirement plans; a total of 37 different measurements to determine the winners.
This program is free to all county employers in part through sponsorship from companies such as Indian River Medical Center, The Breeze 93.7 fm and other community-minded companies.
Participating companies were required to answer a 40-question survey about their organizations. Every company will receive a detailed, personalized report documenting the results of the survey and samples of some of the best practices used in the county to attract and retain their workforce.
Workforce Solutions partnered with the Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce, Indian River Chamber of Commerce, Treasure Coast Human Resources Association and numerous other community organizations to bring the program to the business community.
