Presentation at Harbor Branch
Florida Atlantic University's Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute Friends of Harbor Branch program will host Rachel Wentz, regional director of the Florida Public Archaeology Network's East Central Region, for a presentation on her book "Life and Death at Windover: Excavations of a 7,000-year-old Pond Cemetery."
The event will be held on Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. in Harbor Branch's Johnson Education Center, located at 56000 U.S. 1 North in Fort Pierce. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $15 or for $20 at the door. Friends of Harbor Branch members may purchase tickets for $10 in advance.

Public relations meeting to talk hugs
The story behind Big Apple Pizza owner Scott Van Duzer's bear hug of President Obama will be the topic of the Treasure Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association's next meeting on Oct. 17 at 11:30 a.m. at the Children's Services Council of St. Lucie County
All public relations and marketing practitioners are invited. Cost is $17 for FPRA members and $22 for non-members and includes lunch.
