INDIAN RIVER COUNTY - Due to a recent West Nile Virus alert made by the Indian River County emergency management staff, The Source is in dire need of mosquito repellent. It seeks donations immediately in order to prevent a West Nile Virus epidemic within the homeless community.
Survival is a full-time job when a person is homeless. They deal with insects, rodents, heat, humidity and danger. They often have medical conditions that require consistent care.
The Source acts like an emergency room, rescuing and restoring, addressing and meeting the needs of the county's most desperate citizens.
The Source is a Christian, community based outreach ministry for individuals and families who are at-risk. The Source is open six days a week to serve the distressed, needy and desperate.
The goal of The Source is to connect people with community agencies that can assist them and to provide them with the tools they need to overcome challenging situations.
