BREVARD - Photographers with an eye for detail have until Sunday, Oct. 14, to enter the "All That Art" photo competition hosted at the Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts.

The Creative Arts Foundation of Brevard, Inc. -sponsored event will select 62 photos at the King Center Rotunda from 8:30 to 10 a.m.

On Nov. 5, the selected 62 photos will be displayed for one month in an exhibit at the Rotunda. At 4 p.m., there will be a gala with presentations of awards and prizes for the first-through-third-place winners, as well as 10 honorable mentions.

Suzanne Frank, head of the exhibit and competition being held this November, said "All That Art" is different from other photo contests because the photos submitted will not be distributed through categories. Instead, all of the photos entered will be displayed together in one category.

"We encourage photographers with photos of all kind to enter the competition," Mrs. Frank said. "We don't want to restrict any creativity. If it can be done with a camera, it can be entered into the photo competition and exhibition."

The photographer who enters the photo that wins first place will receive a $500 cash prize. The second-place photo will win a $250 cash prize and the third-place photo will receive a $200 cash prize.

Each of the photographers, whose work is included in the 10 honorable mentions, will receive a $50 cash prize.

Mrs. Frank, who typically works strictly with clay, said presenting a photo competition and exhibit is an exciting change to the medium she usually participates in.

The deadline for the competition is Oct. 14. Contestants may submit as many as five photos. A $25 fee is required for the first photo submitted, and $10 per photo will be required for each entry after that.
