The Sugar Mill Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution donated a selection of patriotic books to the Port Orange Elementary Media Center in honor of Constitution Week and Celebrate Freedom Week which was recognized September 17 - 23. "Since 1955 at the direction of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, DAR has been commemorating Constitution Week," Gail Rysso said. DAR is an organization of women who have ancestors who fought in or provided assistance in the American Revolution. Anyone interested in the group may call the regent at 386-760-9921 for more information.
