Veterinarians Dr. Thomas MacPhail and Dr. Deborah Ulbrich of the DeLand Animal Hospital donated 21 aid kits for all the Volusia County Sheriff's Office K-9 handlers in case of an on-duty injury to their canines at the K-9's training site near Deland, Oct.2. K-9's face many dangerous challenges when dealing with criminals in a variety of situations. The kits contain everything from wound dressings, bandage wraps, cotton balls, hydrogen peroxide, and more.
