Tour Hobe Sound on Oct. 10
The next Inside Hobe Sound tour will take place Oct. 10 starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Hobe Sound Chamber of Commerce.
Inside Hobe Sound takes new and seasoned residents on a behind-the-scenes tour of Hobe Sound.
There is no charge for the guided Inside Hobe Sound tour. However, an $8 fee for lunch will be collected before the start of the tour.

Blessings of animals taking place Oct. 6
Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Memorial Park and Crematory is sponsoring a blessing of the animals on Oct. 6 at its Palm City chapel. This is a free community event with 100 percent of any donations received being given to Humane Society of the Treasure Coast.

Center to host Medicaid symposium
The Kane Center will be the site of a free Medicare symposium on Oct. 11 from 9:30 a.m.-noon. The session will feature representatives from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Florida Senior Medicare Patrol. Counselors from Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Elders or SHINE will also be on hand.
