MARTIN COUNTY -
Helping People Succeed's design success program will offer a variety of gift items as part of its second annual art reception and creative arts sale, coordinated by the Community Connections program.
The sale will take place Oct. 11 from noon - 2 p.m. at Helping People Succeed, 1100 S.E. Federal Highway in Stuart. All items are individually priced. Proceeds will benefit the design success program, which provides art instruction to adults with disabilities.
Among the hand-made art items available for purchase are fall wreaths, cork trivets, decorative plates and coasters, some including art from previous art for living calendar paintings, wine bags and more.
Refreshments will be served during this noontime event.
"This sale and the art being worked on prior to the sale date allow Helping People Succeed's adults with disabilities in the Community Connections program to share their artistic talent and to enjoy seeing their hard-earned designs being purchased," said Christine Fitzgerald, art instructor/community resource specialist.
Helping People Succeed's mission is helping people succeed by providing opportunities and choices that help children, families and adults improve their quality of life through education training and employment.
