'Driving Miss Daisy' at Titusville Playhouse
The Titusville Playhouse has announced "Driving Miss Daisy" to be presented in its newly-renovated, 60-seat Black Box Theater.
The play is rated Rated PG.
When Daisy Werthan is deemed too old to drive, her son hires and African American man, to serve as her chauffeur. What begins as a troubled and hostile pairing soon blossoms into a profound, life-altering friendship that transcends all the societal boundaries, of the era, placed between them.
Show dates and times will be Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 5, 6, 12 and 13 at 8 p.m., and Sundays, Oct. 7 and 14 at 2 p.m.
Tickets cost $10, and all tickets are general admission.
The Titusville Playhouse Inc. is in the Historic Emma Parrish Theatre, 301 Julia St., Titusville.

'In The Dog House' yard sale at Stonefire Gallery
The Stonefire Art Studios and Gallery is hosting a community yard sale "In The Dog House" to raise awareness for animal fostering.
The event will be held on Saturday Oct. 6 from 8 a.m. to 4 pm.
Cost is $5 per table.
Proceeds from the table rentals will benefit the Awareness for Animal Fostering program.

Barbershop Harmony Society
The Greater Canaveral Chapter of The Barbershop Harmony Society invites all men who like to sing to join them as they prepare to present a program of holiday music at several venues throughout the month of December.
The program will include such holiday favorites as "Silent Night," "O Come All Ye Faithful," "Away in a Manger" and "Jingle Bells."
Rehearsals are from 7-8:15 p.m. every Tuesday in the Choral Room in the Fine Arts Building ( No. 4) on the Cocoa Campus of Brevard Community College, 1519 Clearlake Road, Cocoa.

Colored pencils class at the Art Gallery of Viera
Colored pencils offer versatility, control and ease of use and can produce a wide range of painterly effects. The fundamental techniques and principles needed for mastering this expressive and portable medium will be covered in this class.
Learn to render a colored pencil rendering with the control of drawing and the endless possibilities of painting.

'Under the Harvest Moon' fundraiser at Rockledge Gardens
The Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse will host a "Under the Harvest Moon" fundraiser, Sunday Oct. 28, at 5:30 p.m., at Rockledge Gardens, U.S. Highway 1, Rockledge.
The second fundraiser of its kind, held by the Cocoa Village Playhouse at Rockledge Gardens, the event will include gourmet food from Carrabba's Italian Grill of Merritt Island, with live entertainment by the Cocoa Village Playhouse performers.
Sponsorships are available at $300, $500 and $1,000, with individual tickets starting at $75 and additional discounts for Aladdin Society members.
Proceeds from the event will support the renovation of the playhouse, as well as the The Cocoa Village Playhouse STARS Youth Program.
