Q. What do you see as the biggest issue for the office you are seeking?
A. The biggest issue facing Edgewater at present is helping businesses create more jobs and attracting more diversified businesses and industry to the city. This will help to lower the tax burden on residents of Edgewater.
Q. What are your qualifications for the office you are seeking?
A. My qualifications come from my career where I stepped onboard a 700-foot oil tanker as a 20-year-old officer, in charge of personnel sometimes three times my age. I was successful, as I earned my Master's License. My volunteer work throughout the county extends my leadership abilities.
Q. If you win, what's the first issue you will tackle?
A. The first issue I will tackle is the energizing of the city of Edgewater through the Community Redevelopment Association. The plans are in place to help businesses maximize their potential while sprucing up the Ridgewood Avenue corridor. Growing businesses will ease our tax burden.
Q. If you lose, will you continue in politics?
A. I will continue in politics, searching for opportunities where my skills can complement the goals. I am running because I feel that I have something fresh to offer the city of Edgewater.
