Reverend appointed Vicar

The Rev. Dawn McDonald, Priest in Charge of Church of the Holy Presence in DeLand, has been appointed to the position of vicar.

Born in Victoria, British Columbia, and raised in Japan by missionary parents, Rev. McDonald has been an ordained Anglican priest in parish ministry for 12 years in the Anglican Church of Canada.

She now holds her canonical residence in the Diocese of Central Florida in The Episcopal Church, and resides in Sanford with her husband.

She holds the Bachelor of Theology and Master of Divinity degrees from the College of Emmanuel and St. Chad in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; and the Doctor of Ministry degree in the area of pastoral counseling from the Graduate Theological Foundation in Indiana.
