He was born in Coxsackie, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for 49 years, coming from Cairo, N.Y.
He is survived by his wife, Winifred; a brother, William; two sisters, Patricia and Susan; four children, four stepchildren and many grandchildren.

Nancy C. Nelson, 73, of Vero Beach died Sept. 5, 2012.
She was born in Mount Airy, N.C., and moved to Vero Beach four years ago coming from Lake Worth.
She is survived by her husband, Howard; a daughter, Vicki (Keith); two sons, Howard (Mary) and Jeff (Cindy); her mother, Ruby; two brothers, Gary and Mitchell and six grandchildren.

Gerald F. Roman, 81, of Vero Beach, died Sept.10, 2012.
He was born in Utica, N.Y., and moved to Barefoot Bay in 2002.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marion; four sons, Steven (Lisa), Chip (Amanda), Phillip (Vivian) and Scott (Kim); seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
