Scott Van Duzer of The Van Duzer Foundation received national attention including the front page of the New York Times last Monday following an impromptu visit by President Obama in between campaign tour stops. Scott along with members of the foundation and the Boys & Girls Club of St. Lucie County rode bicycles from Florida to Washington DC to meet the US Surgeon General during the summer. The Van Duzer Foundation is also one of the select few non-profits that present the Presidential Award of Volunteerism to members of the community.
