STUART - Fred Astaire Dance Studio will host "Dancing For Autism," on Sept. 15 from 7-9:30 p.m. at Fred Astaire Dance Studio, located at 2147 S.E. Federal Highway, in Stuart.
Participants will enjoy an evening of dance, silent auction, hors d'oeuvres and wine. Steve Wilkie will teach a group dance session followed by general dancing.
The cost is $25 per person (cash or check accepted). All proceeds will benefit The Hope Center for Autism.
The Hope Center for Autism is a tuition-free, public charter school, which provides an education and therapies for children with autism in pre-kindergarten through second grade. Autism now affects one in every 88 children in the country.
It affects essential human behaviors such as social interaction, the ability to communicate ideas and feelings, imagination and the establishment of relationships with others. Through intensive early intervention, children with autism can reach their full potential.
