Andy Stefanek/staff photographer

Phil Salick of Rockledge and Mark Longnecker of Cocoa Beach hold up a surfboard that was auctioned off by Savanna Pitard of Cocoa Beach during the NKF Taste of Brevard at the Cocoa Beach Hilton. Mr. Longnecker designed and painted the surfboard that raised $700 for the National Kidney Foundation of Florida. The image on the surfboard is copied from a photo of Rich Salick, co-founder and namesake of the NKF Rich Salick Pro-Am Surfing Festival, who died in July.
