The Halifax Academy Knights opened its season in dramatic fashion winning its first-ever home game 50-14 over the visiting Northside Christian Eagles. Maddox got help on offense from Sophomore Sean Stephens who ran for 78 yards on eight carries and 62 yards on two catches, scoring 2 touchdowns. Stephens was relied on as well on many of the Knights two-point conversions. Eighth grader LaShaun Wilder led the Knights in receiving with 91 yards and two touchdowns as well.
"We really came out tonight and wanted to show what we could do. The kids all know the game plan and tonight they came out and executed it," Coach Harvey Porter.
