Center for Business Excellence newsletter launched
The Center for Business Excellence (Flagler and Volusia County's workforce board) launched its first monthly electronic newsletter.
The newsletter will provide information to local businesses regarding access to; federal dollars, no-cost job advertising and recruitment, access to a variety of future candidates for employment, and local labor market information all within the Flagler Volusia County region.

H&H Insurance has opened in Holly Hill.
The office located at 1702 Ridgewood Ave., Unit H offers auto, home, condo, mobile home, renters, motorcycle, boat, ATV, RV and commercial insurance, which can be written throughout the state of Florida and staff is available for to clients 24 hours a day if needed.

Ormond Mainstreet reaches out to small business
Ormond Mainstreet, Inc. will host two September events as part of its on going Lunch and Learn series.
On Sept. 14, the Ormond Memorial Art Museum, 78 E Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach will be the host venue for a session about business law.
Attorney Michael S. Slick will cover everything for new business start-ups from choosing the right type of business entity to employment issues and customer contracts.
On Sept. 21, Darlynn Nangano of Little Blog Dress and Diane Michael of The Callan Group will discuss using social media on a limited budget. Topics include choosing the best platforms for your business and learning about the latest tools, as well as branding and online customer retention. The event will take be at The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive, Ormond Beach.
Each lecture runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and includes lunch. Tickets for each event are $9 (or $15 if purchasing both events at the same time.) Seating is limited.
