Youth fall baseball and softball begins
The city of Ormond Beach Leisure Services Department is taking registration for Youth Fall Baseball and Softball through Friday, Sept. 7 for the Ormond Beach Youth Baseball and Softball Association. Baseball is for boys ages 7-15 (age as of April 30, 2013), and softball is for girls ages 6-17 (age as of Dec. 1, 2012).
Fees are $50 for Ormond Beach residents (proof of residency is required) and $75 for non-residents. In addition to the registration fee, anyone registering after Sept. 7 will be charged a $5 late fee pending space availability on teams.
This season, there are two options for registration:
.Easy online registration through the Ormond Beach Youth Baseball and Softball Association website www.obybsa.com.
.In person at the Leisure Services Registration Office, 399 North U.S. 1. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m., and Friday.
