Lisa Djahed has been hired by the Historical Society of Martin County as its new marketing coordinator to aid in the launch of the new Elliott Museum.
Mrs. Djahed is a Stuart resident and was most recently marketing director for the United Way of Indian River County, a position she held for the last six and half years.
Under the direction of Jennifer Esler, the Elliott Museum's new executive director, Mrs. Djahed will develop and implement a multi-faceted marketing program designed to launch the new Elliott Museum, slated to open in spring 2013.
Mrs. Djahed is a nonprofit marketing and public relations professional with more than 21 years of experience.
The Elliott Museum is a museum of art, history and technology. The museum's operations include the Historical Society of Martin County and the House of Refuge Museum at Gilbert's Bar, the last remaining House of Refuge in the country.
