Ormond Beach MainStreet hires new executive director
Julia D. Truilo has been hired as the executive director of Ormond Beach MainStreet.
Ms. Truilo, an area native, has long been involved with local non-profit organizations including Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens, the United Way Women's Initiative, Community Christmas Club of the Halifax Area and the Art League of Daytona Beach.
She served as managing director for Seaside Music Theater until 2007 and was the director of online development for the News-Journal Corp. from 2007 thru 2009.

Florida Hospital DeLand wins award of excellence
TransLife recently presented Florida Hospital DeLand the TransLife Award of Excellence.
TransLife is a federally designated organ procurement organization for 10 counties in East Central Florida, responsible for the recovery, preservation and distribution of donated organs to critically ill patients.
The award is in recognition of exceptional hospital clinical and quality performance practices contributing to high rates of lifesaving organ donations meeting or exceeding national goals. The TransLife Award of Excellence recognizes a 100-percent organ donation rate for Florida Hospital DeLand in 2011.
Cellular Sales opens new store in Ormond Beach
Cellular Sales, the nation's largest Verizon premium wireless retailer, recently opened a new store at 20 S, Nova Road., Ormond Beach.
Cellular Sales was founded in Knoxville, Tenn. 19 years ago and has, for the past four years, been named by Inc. Magazine one of the nation's fastest growing privately-owned retailers, operating more than 530 stores with nearly 4,000 employees.
