FORT PIERCE -

Ocean Chiropractic and Health Center is participating in the nationwide campaign, Shop Local for Vets on Friday, Aug. 17.

Stop by 805 Virginia Ave., suite 10 in Fort Pierce on Aug. 17 and Ocean Chiropractic and Health Center will give anyone who donates to The Greatest Generations Foundation via text a free 15-minute chair massage and veterans will receive a free consultation.

TGGF is a nonprofit honoring World War II veterans and educating children and adults about their service.

Recently, Jo Moreira daSilva, clinical director, held the successful first annual Ocean Chiropractic and Health Center's health fair in conjunction with the Fort Pierce Police Athletic League. Families attended the health fair and donations of school supplies for C.A. Moore Elementary School were plentiful.

Physicals for school were performed by Bradley Deiner of Ocean Chiropractic and Health Center on children of all ages and 10-minute massages were given from staff member Sue Dejaeger, a licensed massage therapist.

While kids were waiting for free haircuts donated by Jose Garcia, they enjoyed a bounce house, pony rides, crafts, as well as a traffic stop and K9 demonstration from the Fort Pierce Police Department.

TGGF also has a text to donate number; one can donate $10 to The Greatest Generations Foundation today, by texting TGGF to 20222.
