Admission is free and open to the public. Main Street will be closed from A1A to Peninsula Drive.
Association president Denny Honeycutt said, "Main Street Merchants will be turning Main Street into a Caribbean Island Experience, complete with pirates, a pirate ship, delicious island foods, various rum concoctions and lots of fun for the whole family."
The Barcardi Island Rum Festival will feature several island-themed food vendors, five stages of musical entertainment and rum drink stations located along Main Street, each serving a unique rum drink or rum punch. There also will be a pirate ship with a "Pirate's Landing Trading Post" filled with pirate related items for sale. Other food options also will be available.
Live musical entertainment includes Steam The Band, DJ Dwayne, The Mighty Groove Machine, Bob Perrione, King Eddie Pili Pili and Black Hawk.
The Barcardi Island Rum Festival will feature a kid's zone with rides, face painting, a nerf sword "swashbuckling ring," and other pirate related activities.
Be on the lookout for pirates wandering the street, interacting with festival attendees and available for photo opportunities.
