FORT PIERCE - Police were looking for suspects this week in the murder of an 18-year-old male on July 29.
Toriell Roberts of Fort Pierce was found shot at the intersection of North 14th St. and Avenue E, a police report said.
He died later at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and Heart Institute, police said in a press release.
A resident told police Mr. Roberts said he was walking north on 14th Street when four males approached him.
Mr. Roberts told the resident when he tried to run from them, he was shot, the report said.
The murder of Mr. Roberts was the first one in Fort Pierce this year. It had been more than 30 years since Fort Pierce did not have a murder during the first six months of the year.
