Susan Hunt was appointed director of marketing and development for the Sunrise Theatre.
The 1,200-seat Sunrise Theatre main stage and accompanying 210-seat Black Box Theatre, located in downtown Fort Pierce, present national touring Broadway shows, musical and comedy acts, ballet and opera companies with full orchestras, country stars and classic rock icons.
"Sue brings with her over 25 years of destination marketing expertise," said John Wilkes, executive director.
"With Sue as part of our team, we look forward to reaching out to additional target markets, expanding our membership programs and partnerships with public, private and corporate patrons and sponsors," he said.
Prior to this appointment, Ms. Hunt was director of tourism for the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce. Formerly, Ms. Hunt was the general manager and marketing director for Vero Fashion Outlets and was a member of Indian River County's Tourism Development Council.
. Prior to her position as general manager at Vero Fashion Outlets, she was corporate director of marketing for New Plan Excel Realty Trust, formerly the nation's largest real estate investment trust, where she oversaw the marketing, public relations and tourism programs for more than 400 shopping centers.
Ms. Hunt was the northeast district Marketing manager for Tanger Outlet Centers in Greensboro, N.C.; northeast group marketing manager for Compass Retail in Atlanta and principal of Premier Marketing, a public relations, marketing and advertising firm in Red Bank, N.J.
Ms. Hunt is a graduate of Rutgers University.
