'Reconciliation'
art talk slated
At Hub on Canal
An art talk with Jon Miller will be held at 4 p.m. Aug. 4, at The Hub on Canal, 132 Canal St., New Smyrna Beach. The event is open to the public and admission is free.
Mr. Miller will speak about his current exhibition, "Reconciliation," exploring the interpersonal struggles to achieve intimacy with other human beings, and our struggle to accept, and make peace with those different from ourselves.
"Reconciliation" takes place in a series of expansive, bold, provocative works.
The exhibition runs through Aug. 27.
The Hub on Canal is open 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday and until 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Admission is free.

Winter Park artists on display in New Smyrna Beach
The McRae Exchange will be on exhibit from Aug. 4 to Aug. 25, at Arts on Douglas Fine Art and Collectibles, 123 Douglas St., New Smyrna Beach.
An opening reception will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4. This event is free and open to the public.
This August, Arts on Douglas will present a diverse group of artists who share a strong commitment to excellence and a working studio in downtown Winter Park. The facility, McRae Studios, has been privately funded by its artist members since opening in 1986.
Representing most areas of fine arts and crafts, painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, jewelry, assemblage, collage, pottery and others, McRae Art Studios provides an artistic environment that challenges and stimulates creative growth in the individual artists working there.
