NORTH BREVARD - Newcomer Sean Ashby will challenge current District 50 State Representative Tom Goodson in this November's general election.
Florida House of Representatives District 50 includes the Brevard County areas of Titusville, Mims and Scottsmoor, as well as Christmas, Bithlo, Avalon Park, Stoneybrook, Eastwood, Lee Vista and Lake Nona.

. In 100 words or less, explain why you believe you are the best candidate for this seat: "I believe that sending politicians to Tallahassee, who maintain the status quo must end. We need people with new ideas and creative problem solving to get the job done. Empty shirts that simply vote the party line, rather than working to create new solutions need to be shown the door. As your representative, I want to work for solutions for the pressing problems of our state. I will bring new perspectives, independent thought, sound judgment and new ideas to Tallahassee."
