VERO BEACH - One step inside the door of Panaché Salon and Day Spa in Vero Beach and a client is instantly transported to Tuscany for relaxation and rejuvenation.

The dark-wood cabinets, rustic, earthy paint palette, wrought-iron accessories and cushiony furniture, pillows and rugs help time stand still during a day or afternoon of hair, nail or skin care at the upscale, yet accessible salon and day spa.

Panaché opened in May and has slowly grown its customer base by positive word-of-mouth recommendations, said owner Sheila King.

"We've had a client say we're the best kept secret in Vero Beach," said Ms. King.

Every client at Panaché is treated as a VIP and offered flavored water or coffee and sometimes wine and cheese, Ms. King said.

"To me, that's pampering," she said.

The shop is staffed with four hair stylists, two massage therapists, two nail technicians, two aestheticians and a physician. Staff members are experts in their fields and are able to offer a varied menu of services, including medical cosmetics.

A haircut and style, or a facial, a mani-pedi or massage from Panaché is designed to make clients feel like they are living in the lap of luxury, Ms. King said.

She decided to open the shop because she wanted to create a place where she would want to come and have all her pampering desires satisfied.

"I wanted a place, not on the beach, but a place for people that live here, not just for seasonal people. I want to offer pampering to everyone and that is why this location in Miracle Mile is a great location," Ms. King said.

Hair care services range from a child's haircut to keratin smoothing and hair extensions. Skin care includes various facials, peels, waxing and eyelash extensions.

An online list includes all the various massage and body treatment, as well as pricing and packages for hand, nail and foot care.

LeShaun Williams is the massage therapist and already has people raving about her skills.

"People come out of the massage and they say they're in love," Ms. King said with a smile.

Spa parties at Panaché are available by advance appointment. Any occasion is a good reason to get friends together for a few hours of healthy indulgence. Bridal or bachelorette parties, baby showers, anniversaries or employee appreciation are just a few of the reasons to set up a time with licensed, certified and trained therapists and technicians.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday until 5 p.m. Appointments can be made after hours on select days.

Panaché Salon and Day Spa is located in Miracle Mile at 2213 Seventh Ave., Vero Beach. For more information, call (772) 257-6940 or visit www.panacheverobeach.com.
