Jimmy and Mary Harrell, left, of the Mary S. Harrell Black Heritage Museum, received a $1,000 donation from the New Smyrna Beach 125th Anniversary Committee for participating in the June 8-10 event. Also receiving a $1,000 check was John Peel, right, of the New Smyrna Museum of History and president of the Southeast Volusia Historical Society. Making the presentations recently were Mayor Adam Barringer and Vice Mayor Judy Reiker.
