ST. LUCIE OCUNTY - As a result of being certified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as a housing counseling agency, St. Lucie County's housing and community services department is offering one-on-one counseling for homeowners at risk of foreclosure.
Counseling will include reviewing household income and expenses, referrals to local resources and programs, assistance communicating with the mortgage lender, completing and submitting required documentation to the mortgage lender and other services depending on the client's individual needs.
Counseling is free of charge.
