Shannon Kay, 8, of Melbourne, is crowned 'queen of the crawfish races' at the 15th Annual Crawfish Boil at Wickham Park Pavilion Saturday, June 2. Shannon and her crawfish she named Logan beat all competitors to win the prestigious title. Attendee's of the crawfish boil were treated to two-pound Louisiana crawfish plates with corn and potatoes, as well as live music and crawfish races. Proceeds from the event benefited Brevard and Indian River County residents undergoing cancer treatment.
