MARTIN COUNTY -
Seacoast National Bank once again supported the YMCA's annual children's art auction at the Louis Dreyfus Citrus branch YMCA in Indiantown.
This is the eighth year the event has showcased framed artwork designed by the young children who attend the YMCA. Seacoast National Bank has been a supporter since 2008.
"This event is not so much about the art, it is about changing lives," said Shawn Keil, executive director of the YMCA Indiantown and Okeechobee branches.
"Seacoast has been a wonderful supporter in helping our children attend summer camp, learn to swim and participate in our Y Reads program."
"It is an inspiration to be involved with such a great community based program," said Carl Newton, Seacoast National Bank Financial Advisor.
The Indiantown branch of the YMCA serves 500 families a day and provides more than 300 swimming lessons each summer. The children's art auction is the YMCA's biggest fundraiser and raised more than $15,000 for camp and summer program scholarships.
