MARTIN COUNTY - It doesn't take long for visitors to DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen's design studio to realize the wide range of options at their fingertips.

In one of the showrooms, about 70 options for cabinet doors present themselves in various designs, woods, colors and grains.

And that's just for starters.

Another room offers row after row of knobs and handles in designs ranging from fanciful to sophisticated.

"There's almost a limitless selection," said Edward Gribben, president and owner of the local franchise. "We design what the customer wants."

That's the idea at the heart of the Stuart kitchen and bathroom remodeling company, headed by a Carnegie Mellon University-educated entrepreneur trained in engineering and design.

Mr. Gribben, who also operates a construction company, has won three awards from the Treasure Coast Builders' Association for house designs.

It's this background that he brings to each remodeling project he undertakes, working with clients to develop three-dimensional renderings of their new bathroom or kitchen.

"We do what's modern and up-to-date," he said. "You literally come into our design center and pick everything you need (for the project)."

Clients choose from a wide selection of tiles, faucets, countertops, Jacuzzis, light fixtures, toilets, shower doors and all accessories needed to complete their bathroom or kitchen makeovers.

But first, they get a complimentary consultation, budget guidelines and estimates and access to DreamMaker's catalog of handcrafted wood products in oak, hickory, maple, cherry lyptus and alder.

Designers offer classic options, but also keep up with the latest trends, such as kitchens with cabinets of various heights, staffers say.

For clients concerned with environmental protection, for instance, the company offers energy-efficient lights and gives them the option of selecting products made from hardwood trees that renew or grow quickly.

DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen is located at 6118 S.E. Federal Highway, Stuart. It's open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, and by appointment only on Saturdays. For more information, call (772) 288-6255 or visit www.dreammaker-stuart.com.
